Pink is the most flexible color in the costume box. The same shade family covers a doll, a witch, a flamingo, a donut and a skeleton, and it shifts mood depending on the fabric: satin pink reads glamorous, fleece pink reads cozy, neon pink reads loud. Below are forty pink costumes built head to toe, from characters and creatures to food jokes and easy DIY ideas, each with clothing, hair, makeup, props and shoes you can actually walk in. I've noted where a pale blush suits the idea better than a bright fuchsia and where thrifted basics will do most of the work. Pick the character first, then decide how loud you want the pink to be.

Getting Several Pinks to Sit Together
Most pink costumes are built from pieces bought in different places, and that's where they go wrong. A cool blue-based pink next to a warm coral pink looks like two outfits rather than one. I hold every piece up together in daylight before committing, because indoor bulbs make pinks look closer than they are.
Fabric changes the shade
The same dye looks different on different fabric. Satin and sequins look brighter and colder because they reflect light. Fleece and felt soak it up and look softer. Tulle is sheer, so it takes on whatever is underneath it; pale pink tulle over a white slip reads almost white, and over a pink slip it deepens. If a skirt looks washed out, change the layer under it rather than the tulle.
- Pick one main shade and let every other piece be lighter or darker than it, not a near match.
- Repeat that main shade at least twice, such as shoes and headpiece, so it looks intentional.
- Use white, silver or black as the break between two pinks that don't quite agree.
- Match lipstick to the cooler or warmer side of the outfit, not to the brightest piece.
1. Classic Barbie Costume

Classic Barbie is the easiest pink costume to personalize, because almost any hot pink outfit works as long as it's clean and coordinated. A fit-and-flare dress, a tailored jumpsuit or a matching top and skirt all do the job, with a slim belt at the waist. Blonde hair or a wig goes in smooth waves; I brush synthetic waves with fingers, not a brush, or they turn to fluff. Rosy blush, pink shadow, mascara and gloss keep the face doll-like. Oversized sunglasses, pearl earrings and a small structured bag finish it. Wear pumps indoors and pink flats if you're walking. A pink hairbrush or a light cardboard box frame with stars and hearts makes a fun photo prop.
2. Pink Cowgirl Barbie Costume

Cowgirl Barbie is mostly a matching game: a fitted pink vest with flare trousers, or a long-sleeve Western shirt tucked into a sparkly pink skirt, with a white or blush top underneath. Loose blonde waves and pink makeup with a little shimmer on the lids suit it. The white cowboy hat and white boots do the identifying, so I spend more on those than on the clothes. Add a pink bandana, star earrings and a soft rope loop as a harmless prop. Iron-on stars and silver fringe turn thrifted Western pieces into the costume cheaply, and fringe moves nicely when you dance.
3. Roller Skate Barbie Costume

Roller Skate Barbie comes together from activewear: a hot pink leotard or fitted tank, bright bike shorts, a visor, striped knee socks and wristbands. Layer shorts over the leotard if you want more coverage. A high ponytail with a pink scrunchie, glossy lips and a few star stickers by the eyes give it energy. Real skates look great in photos, but I'd never wear them through a crowded party or on a trick-or-treat route; colorful sneakers are the safer call, with toy skates or skate guards carried as the clue. A belt bag keeps your phone safe all evening.
4. President Barbie Costume

President Barbie is the pink costume for a work party. A tailored fuchsia pantsuit with a white blouse and pointed flats, or a knee-length skirt suit, gives you a polished outline. Smooth professional waves, neutral shadow, pink blush and a rose lip keep the face refined. Pearl studs, a structured handbag and a homemade campaign button with a silly fictional slogan add the character. A folder or a small podium sign is plenty of prop. Suits run warm under party lights, so I'd choose a lined jacket in a lighter weave over heavy wool. It's also a good answer for cool weather, since the jacket stays on.
5. Pink Astronaut Barbie Costume

Astronaut Barbie gets futuristic without being hard to wear. Start with a pink utility jumpsuit, or cargo trousers and a zip-front jacket, then add silver tape stripes, star patches and a handmade mission badge. Silver duct tape peels at the corners after a few hours of movement, so I round every corner with scissors before sticking it down. A high ponytail or a sleek wig under a white helmet-style headband, silver shadow and pink gloss suit the theme. White lace-up boots, metallic gloves and a small silver backpack finish it. A painted foam planet or cardboard control panel is an easy prop, and reflective details help at night.
6. Ballerina Barbie Costume

Ballerina Barbie needs almost no sewing: a pale pink leotard or fitted top, an opaque layered tutu and blush tights. A short wrap cardigan gives warmth outdoors and looks right on a dancer. Pull blonde hair into a neat bun tied with pink ribbon; a bun holds far better if you secure it with a hair net and a few U-pins rather than a single elastic. Luminous skin, rosy cheeks and a satin pink lip suit the look, with a rhinestone headband, pearl earrings and a small fabric-flower bouquet. Ballet flats are the natural shoe, but ribbon-trimmed pink sneakers give more support on a long night. A few practiced ballet poses help a lot in photos.
7. Boxed Barbie Costume

The boxed Barbie frame is what people remember, so build it carefully. Wear a pink mini dress, jumpsuit or top and skirt you can move in, with polished waves and tidy bright makeup. Cut the frame from light cardboard, cover it in hot pink paper and add shoulder straps so your hands stay free. I make the frame a little wider than my shoulders and no deeper than a hand, because a deep box turns every doorway into a negotiation. Decorate it with stars, hearts and your own made-up doll title. Pumps, flats or platform sneakers work. Round the cardboard edges and leave generous openings for arms and legs.
8. Pink Western Ken Costume

Pink Western Ken suits anyone who prefers separates to a dress. A long-sleeve hot pink shirt with matching trousers, a white belt and white cowboy boots make the base, with removable fringe trim across the chest and sleeves. Soft-volume blonde hair or a short wig, light bronzer, groomed brows and a pink balm handle the face. A white cowboy hat, pink neck scarf and silver buckle push the Western theme. If you pick a hobbyhorse or a coiled rope as a prop, keep it light, since you'll be holding it all night. Ken works alone, beside a Barbie or inside a whole pink group.
9. Glinda Pink Witch Costume

Glinda mixes princess sparkle with a friendly witch. A floor-length pale pink gown with puff sleeves and layered tulle gives the shape, and a petticoat adds volume. Hem it so it clears the ground by an inch or two; a gown that touches the floor gets stepped on, and tulle tears easily. Strawberry-blonde curls, rosy cheeks, pearl highlighter and glossy lips keep it airy. A tall silver crown, rhinestone jewelry, a star wand and silver ballet flats finish her. I'd add a light cape on a cold night rather than a coat, so the dress still shows. She suits family events and theatrical parties.
10. Princess Peach Costume

For a fan-made Princess Peach, the gown shape matters most: short puff sleeves, a fitted bodice and a darker pink overskirt or waist panel. An opaque petticoat gives the skirt its rounded outline. Long blonde curls with face-framing pieces, blue eyeshadow, rosy blush and bright pink lipstick follow the character. The gold crown with colorful gems, blue earrings and elbow-length white gloves are what people spot first. Long gloves slip down on bare arms, so I put a strip of toupee tape or a little body glue at the top edge. Carry a plush star or a mushroom bag. Shorten the skirt a little if you'll be outside or on stairs.
11. Pink Power Ranger Costume

Pink Ranger is the active-night pick: a long-sleeve pink bodysuit or athletic top with leggings, white diamond shapes across the chest in felt or fabric tape, and a white belt and gloves. The helmet is the hard part. A full helmet narrows your view and gets hot fast, so I usually suggest a helmet-style hood or a visor headband, worn over a low ponytail. Minimal makeup is fine because the headpiece does the work. White boots or supportive high-tops finish it, and a communicator wristband replaces any weapon prop. The stretch base means you can dance or walk a long route in it.
12. Pink Ladies Greaser Costume

Pink Ladies is a secondhand costume: a satin pink bomber jacket over a black top, with cropped black trousers or a pencil skirt. A small scarf tied at the neck adds the 1950s touch. A high ponytail, curled bob or soft vintage waves all fit, with winged liner, defined lashes, rosy cheeks and a pink-red lip. Cat-eye sunglasses, hoops and a comb in the pocket finish it. Satin jackets show every glue mark, so I letter the back with felt held by a few hand stitches; they come out cleanly and the jacket goes back into everyday wear. Black flats or loafers keep it comfortable.
13. Elle Woods Pink Costume

Elle Woods depends on polish more than on any one piece. Wear a structured pink dress, or a matching blazer and skirt over a fitted white blouse, and make sure it's pressed; wrinkled pink looks careless, which isn't her. Glossy blonde waves, rosy cheeks and shiny pink lipstick keep the face bright. Pearl studs, a heart necklace, sunglasses and a neat pink handbag add the details. A thick textbook or a folder with a made-up law-school label explains the character. I'd always use a small plush dog rather than a real one at a party. Pink pumps or nude flats finish it.
14. Sharpay Evans Pink Costume

Sharpay is early-2000s stage glamour, so go bigger than feels comfortable. A sparkly pink mini dress over opaque tights, or a sequined top with a matching knee-length skirt, makes the base, with a cropped faux-fur jacket for warmth and drama. Bouncy blonde curls with a rhinestone clip, shimmery shadow and glossy lips fit her. Oversized sunglasses, a glittery microphone and a small star bag do the accessorizing. Sequins scratch the inside of your arms over a long night, so I line the underarm area of a sequin top with a soft scrap of jersey. Repeat one silver or rhinestone accent across hair clip, jewelry, bag and shoes so it looks deliberate.
15. Strawberry Shortcake Costume

Strawberry Shortcake is pink with red and green accents. A puff-sleeve pink dress goes over red-and-white striped tights, with a green ribbon belt at the waist. Bright red curls, freckles, rosy cheeks and strawberry lip balm give the face. The bonnet is the giveaway, so I decorate it with fabric strawberries and green felt leaves stitched on rather than glued, because glued strawberries fall off the first time it's bumped. Carry a small basket of fabric strawberries or wrapped treats. Red Mary Janes or white sneakers both work. On cool nights, layer a white blouse and warm leggings while keeping the stripes showing at the shins.
16. Cheshire Cat Pink Costume

The Cheshire Cat can be playful with just a hint of mystery. Start with a pink-and-purple striped sweater dress, top and leggings, or a striped jumpsuit, and add a furry detachable tail and cat ears in matching colors. Pink or purple hair, or temporary color on a few strands, keeps it bright. The wide grin is the character, and I draw it in liner first, then fill it, so the line stays neat even when you laugh. Add a pink nose, whiskers and winged eyeliner. Striped gloves, purple boots or pink sneakers and a sign with a directional arrow finish it. Pale stripes help drivers see you outside.
17. Pink Panther Costume

The Pink Panther is cozy and made for cold nights. Wear a soft pink jumpsuit or sweatsuit, add a pale pink belly panel attached with removable fabric, and finish with a long stuffed tail and rounded ears. A long tail gets stepped on, so I stuff it lightly and add a loop at the tip that slips over a wrist when you're in a crowd. Slick your hair back or wear a short pink wig under the ears. A pink nose, black whisker dots and white around the mouth are the makeup. Pink gloves and sneakers keep it monochrome, and a cardboard magnifying glass suits his sneaky side. Breathable fleece keeps it comfortable for hours.
18. Pink Fairy Costume

A pink fairy is floaty layers and a little sparkle. A blush dress, romper or fitted top with a layered tulle skirt makes the base, with sheer tights and a cropped cardigan when it's cool. Waves, braids or a soft bun with tiny faux flowers all suit her. Pearly highlighter and pink shadow with shimmer near the temples keep the face light. The wings are where costumes fail: I attach them with wide elastic straps that cross over the chest, because thin straps dig in and the wings flop sideways. Keep them compact enough for crowded rooms. Flower crown, ribbon wand and flats or lace-up boots finish it.
19. Glam Pink Witch Costume

A glam pink witch trades black for fuchsia. Wear a long velvet dress, or a high-neck blouse with a flowing pink skirt, under an opaque cape with a shimmering lining. The pointed hat needs structure, so I put a cone of stiff interfacing or card inside so it doesn't fold at the tip by midnight, then decorate it with ribbon and rhinestones. Polished curls or a long pink wig, smoky mauve shadow, defined lashes and a berry lip give drama while staying family-friendly. A small decorative book or a glittered broom works as the prop. Pink flats or ankle boots ground it, and moon jewelry adds a playful fantasy detail.
20. Pink Vampire Costume

A pink vampire is theatrical without anything gory. Choose a dusty rose velvet dress, a fitted vest with trousers, or a ruffled blouse with a flowing skirt, and layer a burgundy-lined pink cape over it. Smooth vintage waves or a deep rose wig with a center part frame the face. Pale foundation, mauve shadow, defined brows and a dark pink lip carry the vampire feel. Cheap fangs make most people lisp and drool, so I'd practice talking in them at home, or pick the small cap-style kind that sits over just the canines. Add a jeweled choker, lace gloves and black or burgundy boots. Fill a decorative goblet with wrapped pink candy.
21. Pink Ghost Costume

A pink ghost takes a classic and makes it friendly. Layer a pale pink poncho or draped tunic over matching leggings and a long-sleeve shirt, cutting the hem into soft uneven points that stay above the ankles. Pearly foundation, cool pink shadow and soft white details around the eyes give the ghostly face, with blush spray or a pale pink wig for the hair. A sheer hood and translucent gloves add drift. I never cover the face with a sheet on a ghost costume worn outdoors; you lose your side vision, which is the last thing you want when walking kids around after dark. Carry a lantern-style candy bucket and wear white sneakers.
22. Pink Skeleton Costume

A pink skeleton gets strong impact from a comfortable base: a black long-sleeve top and leggings with bright pink bone shapes. Felt bones are quick to cut, but I'd sew them on or use fusible web, because fabric tape lets go on stretchy leggings once you bend your knees. A high ponytail with pink extensions or a short neon wig keeps the color going. Paint the skull face in clean pink and white lines around the eyes, nose and mouth, and set it with powder so it doesn't smear on a collar. Fingerless gloves with bones, a pink pumpkin bucket and black boots or sneakers finish it. Reflective pink tape helps at night.
23. Pink Alien Costume

A pink alien is all about metallic texture. A fitted pink jumpsuit, a matching cargo set, or a silver top with fuchsia leggings makes the base, with a clear or silver belt and metal wrist cuffs. Two high buns, a bubblegum bob wig or a few silver strands do the hair. Iridescent shadow, pink highlighter, graphic liner and tiny face gems around the temples carry the makeup. Face gems pop off sweaty skin, so I attach them with eyelash glue on a clean, powdered patch. An antenna headband, futuristic sunglasses and a small silver backpack finish it. Keep the foam planet or orb prop light enough to hold all night.
24. Pink Robot Costume

A pink robot is cardboard over a soft base. Wear a pink sweatshirt and trousers under light cardboard panels covered in glossy pink and silver paper. I build separate chest and waist pieces, never one box, so you can still sit down and bend to pick up candy. A sleek ponytail or a boxy silver-and-pink headband covers the head. Metallic shadow, geometric liner and a glossy lip suit the look, with tube bracelets, foil gloves and a cardboard control panel of colorful buttons. Silver sneakers or pink high-tops move better than stiff boots. Tape and round every cardboard edge, and keep panels away from knees and elbows.
25. Pink Flamingo Costume

The flamingo is all silhouette, so the headpiece and the skirt matter most. Wear a long-sleeve pink bodysuit or top with leggings and a feather-trimmed tutu. A smooth high bun anchors the curved flamingo headpiece, which should sit on a sturdy, snug headband; a loose one tips forward under the weight of the neck. Rosy makeup, dramatic lashes and a little black-and-white beak detail above the lips are a cute touch. A feather boa adds volume, but feathers shed everywhere, so I give it a shake outdoors before wearing and stitch it down so it can't slide off. Pink tights and flat shoes finish it. Pose with one knee bent rather than balancing on one foot.
26. Pink Axolotl Costume

The axolotl is soft and very easy to wear. A pale pink hoodie and joggers or a fleece jumpsuit make the base, with three feathery gills on each side of the hood. I cut the gills from felt and add mesh or tulle fringe along the edges; felt alone looks stiff, and tulle alone won't stand up. Tuck hair into the hood or wear low braids. Round rosy cheeks, soft pink shadow and a tiny smile give the friendly face. A flat stuffed tail should attach at the waist and stop short of the floor. Pink mittens and slip-resistant sneakers finish the cozy base, and a blue water-print candy bucket suggests the underwater setting.
27. Pink Butterfly Costume

A butterfly looks best when every detail follows one wing pattern. Choose a fitted pink dress, a jumpsuit or a top with a flowing midi skirt, with opaque tights for warmth. A braided crown, low bun or loose waves sit under a slim antenna headband. Pink and purple shadow swept toward the temples, with small white dots that echo the wing markings, ties the face to the wings. Keep the wings no wider than your fingertips; anything bigger hits people and furniture. I always test the straps for an hour at home, because pressure on the shoulders shows up slowly. Flats or low ankle boots and a small floral bag finish it.
28. Pink Poodle Costume

A pink poodle is retro and cozy. Wear a fitted pink sweater with matching trousers, or an A-line skirt over opaque tights, and add faux-fur cuffs at the wrists and ankles plus a soft tail. A high curly ponytail or a short pink curled wig gives the poodle shape. Plush ears on a headband should stay light, since heavy ears pull the headband back over a few hours. Black liner, a small pink nose, whisker dots and rosy cheeks are the makeup. Faux fur sheds on cutting, so I trim it from the back with small snips through the backing only, not across the pile. A rhinestone collar, a tiny purse and a toy brush finish her.
29. Pink Cat Costume

A pink cat is the reliable last-minute choice. Pair a fitted pink top or sweater with matching trousers, leggings, or a skirt and tights, then add a plush tail and triangle ears in the same shade. Matching shades matter more than you'd think; a hot pink tail on a blush sweater looks borrowed. Soft waves or temporary pink extensions add color. Winged liner, a heart-shaped pink nose, whiskers and a touch of shimmer around the eyes make the cat face. A bell collar, pink gloves and a fish-shaped bag finish it. Sneakers, ankle boots or flats all work, and reflective ribbon on the tail helps outdoors.
30. Pink Cupcake Costume

The cupcake is a costume people grin at, and it builds from basics. Wear a pink top and leggings, then wrap a pleated cardboard or poster-board skirt at the waist as the liner. Keep it short and flexible so you can sit. Layers of pink tulle above it become the frosting, and a red pom-pom cherry headband over a high bun finishes the top. Pastel shadow, rosy blush and sprinkle-shaped face stickers carry the theme. Pleated card collapses if you sit on it, so I score the folds and back the inside with a strip of ribbon at the waistband. Pink sneakers and a small bakery box for candy finish it.
31. Cotton Candy Costume

Cotton candy is all about soft, cloudlike volume. Wear a pale pink sweatshirt or fitted long top with matching leggings, then add teased pink fiberfill or fluffy tulle around the torso and shoulders, kept well away from the face. I glue the fiberfill to a cheap removable vest rather than the clothes, which makes it easy to take off, store and reuse. Fiberfill also catches fire easily, so keep it away from candles and jack-o'-lanterns. A high pink ponytail or pastel wig, pearly shadow and bubblegum lips suit it. A striped paper cone hat, a small handheld cone, white gloves and sneakers finish it.
32. Pink Bubble Gum Machine Costume

The gum machine is a fun DIY project. Wear a red or hot pink skirt with a fitted white top and opaque tights, then make a clear front panel, or a shallow light container, filled with colorful pom-poms and strapped over the torso. A silver cardboard coin slot goes at the waist. A ponytail with multicolor clips or a simple pink bob, bright blush, pink lipstick and small round face gems fit the look, with a red cap, white gloves and sneakers. I seal the pom-poms inside with clear packing tape around the whole edge, because one loose corner and you're leaving a trail across someone's floor. Carry a coin-shaped sign as the prop.
33. Pink Donut Costume

The donut is an easy visual joke with no full-body suit. Wear a tan sweatshirt and leggings under a big foam or cardboard ring covered with brown paper, pink felt frosting and fabric sprinkles. Shoulder straps keep it centered and leave both arms free. I size the ring so it sits above the hips and stays narrower than a doorway; much wider and you'll be turning sideways all night. Two buns or a high ponytail, rosy cheeks, pink eye makeup and glossy lipstick suit it, with a sprinkle headband, a bakery paper bag and tan or pink sneakers.
34. Pink Crayon Costume

A pink crayon passes most school and workplace costume rules. Start with a straight pink dress, an oversized T-shirt dress or a long tunic over leggings, and add black felt bands at the neckline and hem for the wrapper. The pointed hat comes from pink poster board held with soft elastic; I cut a small dart into the back of the cone so it sits on the head instead of perching. Hair can stay down, in a low ponytail or tucked under the hat. Monochrome pink makeup, white gloves and a cardboard coloring sheet finish it. If several friends each pick a different color, it becomes an easy group.
35. Pink Loofah Costume

The loofah is one of the funniest pink costumes, and it's light and breathable. Wear a pink tank dress or fitted top with shorts and opaque tights, then gather big sections of tulle into loose bunches on a removable vest or elastic belt. Tulle bunches fall flat if you only tie them, so I stitch a running thread through the center of each strip and pull it tight before attaching. Keep the tulle below your chin and away from your eyes. A high bun with a white rope loop on top, fresh makeup, white gloves and pink sneakers finish it. A clean bath brush is the prop. Trim any tulle that trails near the feet.
36. Pink Race Car Driver Costume

A pink race car driver is sporty and easy to move in. A pink zip-front jumpsuit, or a utility shirt and cargo trousers, takes checkered trim, made-up sponsor patches and a wide belt. A braided ponytail or low bun fits under a pink cap. Defined brows, winged liner and a long-wear pink lip suit the look, with racing gloves, sporty sunglasses and a light cardboard steering wheel. I attach patches with fabric-safe removable adhesive or a few stitches so the jumpsuit can go back into use for other costumes. A nickname patch makes it yours. Keep logos fictional, and wear high-tops or supportive boots.
37. Pink Flight Attendant Costume

The pink flight attendant uses simple wardrobe pieces: a tailored pink blazer, a knee-length skirt or trousers and a crisp white blouse. A patterned scarf tied neatly at the neck is the detail that makes people guess correctly, so practice the knot. A slim belt, a small wing pin, a low bun or smooth ponytail and refined makeup keep it polished. A small pink hat pinned with bobby pins crossed in an X stays put far better than a single pin. A compact rolling case or a serving tray of wrapped candy works as the prop. A handmade fictional airline badge keeps it from looking like any real uniform.
38. Pink Disco Queen Costume

A disco queen comes alive with shine and movement. Wear a fuchsia sequin jumpsuit with flared legs, or a metallic pink top with high-waisted bell-bottoms, and a silver belt. Big curls, a full Afro shape if it suits your natural texture, or a voluminous pink wig give the hair. Shimmering shadow, dramatic lashes and glossy lips fit the dance floor, with oversized earrings, tinted glasses and a mirror-ball bag. Flares are the risk: hem them so they just skim the top of your shoe, or you'll catch a heel on the hem while dancing. Platform sneakers or stable block-heel boots and a silver microphone finish it.
39. Pink 1980s Workout Costume

The 1980s workout costume is athletic basics and color. Layer a hot pink leotard or tank over bright leggings, then add leg warmers, wristbands and a cropped sweatshirt, with an opaque base layer if you want more coverage. A high side ponytail with a big scrunchie, colorful shadow and shiny pink lipstick suit it. A fabric headband, belt bag and foam dumbbells finish the theme, with white high-tops. I'd mix pink with one accent, turquoise or purple, and repeat it across the headband, wristbands and leg warmers so the whole thing looks planned rather than random.
40. Pink Prom Queen Costume

The prom queen is vintage glamour with no horror effects. Look secondhand for a pink formal dress with puff sleeves, ruffles or a full skirt. Old formalwear often has a stiff boned bodice, so I try it on sitting down before buying. Add a satin sash with a made-up school name and a rhinestone tiara. A curled updo or big waves, shimmery shadow, defined lashes and a glossy pink lip fit the era. A bouquet of fabric roses, a glittery handbag, elbow-length gloves and a faux corsage push it retro. Silver flats or low pink heels keep you moving, and keep the hem just off the floor to avoid trips.
Tulle, Feathers and Fluff After Midnight
A lot of these costumes rely on soft, airy materials, and those behave differently from regular clothes once you're out for the night. I plan for that before I leave the house, not after something falls off.
What sheds and what crushes
Feather boas and marabou trim shed constantly, especially in the first hour. A good shake outside and a few stitches at each end cut that down. Tulle crushes flat when you sit on it in a car, so if a skirt or loofah matters for photos, take the pictures early. Fiberfill flattens with body heat; fluff it up with your fingers now and then.
Keeping it safe near candles
Tulle, fiberfill and feathers all catch fire quickly. Halloween parties are full of candles and lit pumpkins, so keep big skirts and wings clear of tables and steps where they're placed. Battery tea lights inside your own pumpkins are an easy fix if the party is at your place.
Storing the pieces afterward is simple. Hang tulle skirts upside down by the waistband so the layers drop back out, keep wings flat in a box, and put feathered items in a breathable cotton bag rather than plastic so they don't crush. Next year they'll come out looking close to new.
Blush or Fuchsia? Let the Character Decide
The pink costume worth wearing is one people recognize and you can move in for hours. Pale blush suits fairies, ghosts and princesses, while hot pink belongs to dolls, athletes, robots and anything retro. Before the night, wear every shoe, headpiece, wing, tail and frame around the house so you know you can walk, sit and turn safely. Swap heels for sneakers, add warm base layers or adjust a hem without losing the idea. Removable trims and reusable clothing mean most of these pieces will be back in your wardrobe the week after.
